Background
I began my search for ancestors in 1988 after my wife discovered her unique family name in a book about immigrants. We soon began to question our parents about their families and they helped us get started on the journey.
In those days there was no Internet, so I spent many days at the National Archives in Washington, D.C. scanning census and other records on microfilm. More »
