Will of Hannah Woodside

 

          In the name of God, Amen. I, Hannah Woodside, widow, of the borough of Lykens, county of Dauphin, state of Pennsylvania, being of sound and disposing mind, memory, and understanding, but considering the uncertainty of life do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me at anytime heretofore made, especially the will now in the possession of A. C. Long to which will the witnesses are Francis F. Fegley and Amos Row.

 

          I will and direct that all debts and claims due me, or coming to me shall be collected and settled and all my property, both real and personal, shall be sold by my executor hereinafter named, as soon after my death as practicable.

 

          I will and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall be paid first. After the payment of all my just debts and funeral expenses, I will and direct that the money shall be divided as follows:

 

          I give, bequeath, will and direct that my son John C. Woodside shall have five dollars.

 

          I give, bequeath, will, and direct that my grand-daughter Mary H. Woodside shall have fifty dollars to be paid to her by the hereinafter named executor. She to have the said fifty dollars absolutely and without the intervention of a guardian.

 

          And the balance I will and direct shall be divided into two equal parts, one part thereof I give, bequeath will and direct shall go to my son D. E. E. Woodside, and the other part I give, bequeath, will and direct shall go to my daughter-in-law Anna Eliza Woodside. That is to say, the said balance shall be shared and shared alike between my son D. E. E. Woodside and my daughter-in-law Anna Eliza Woodside.

 

          I hereby appoint D. E. E. Woodside, my son, of said county of Dauphin, executor of this my will and testament, and my said executor shall collect the rents till he sells the real estate.

 

          In witness whereof, I Hannah Woodside, the testatrix have to this my will, writen on one sheet of paper, set my hand and seal this sixth day of June, A. D. one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four.

          Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Hannah Woodside, as and for her last will and testament, in presence of us, who have hereunto subscribed our names at her request as witnesses thereto in the presence of said testatrix and of each other.
