Anecdote*There is no definite proof that Curtis is a son of Lewis and Sidney Kaw. The assumption is based on the proximity of Curtis' birth in Kent, Ohio at the same time that Lewis lived there. There is a good possibility that Sidney died in childbirth, although her exact date of death is unknown. I have not been able to find Curtis in the 1880 census. He is not living with his presumptive father Lewis, who was living with his second wife Hannah.
