He resides at Elizabethtown, Lancaster Co., PA, in 1999, at 3106 James Buchanan Drive. Claud Alonzo Bartholomew died on 7 October 2002 at Masonic Homes, West Donegal Twp., Lancaster Co., PA, at age 82.¹ He was cremated on 10 October 2002 at Elizabethtown, Lancaster Co., PA.

     Martin was a member of Captain Custer's (3rd) Company of the 3rd Battalion of the Lancaster County Militia in 1781 and 1782⁶. From 1783 through 1785 he was listed with Captain Huber's (6th) Company of the 6th Battalion^7,8.
      Martin inherited a large parcel of land from his father's estate. This was part of the original land grant to Martin's grandfather, Martin. On 1 April 1815 the property was assessed for $10,080.⁹ Structures included on the 210 acres were:
      1 dwelling of timber, 1 story, 43' x 27'
      1 barn, lower story stone, upper story wood, 78' x 28'
      1 weaver shop of wood, 20' x 16'
      The presence of a weaver shop would suggest that Martin (or his father Adam) followed that occupation. Several items associated with weaving were included in the inventory of Adam's estate.
