     Elmer was born at Manchester Township, York Co., PA, on 6 May 1877.² He married Annie K. Neiman on 10 March 1901 at York Co., PA.^3,4 Elmer died on 16 December 1946 at Manchester Township, York Co., PA, at age 69.⁵ His body was interred on 19 December 1946 at York, York Co., PA, at Greenmount Cemetery.⁶

     Annie was born at York Co., PA, on 7 November 1881.¹ She married Elmer Ellsworth Quickel, son of Lewis Schuler Quickel and Catharine Weire, on 10 March 1901 at York Co., PA.^2,1 As of 10 March 1901,her married name was Quickel.^2,1 Annie died on 24 February 1962 at York, York Co., PA, at age 80.¹ Her body was interred on 27 February 1962 at York, York Co., PA, at Greenmount Cemetery.³

     Mary Magdalena Quickel also went by the name of Maymie. Mary was born at Manchester Township, York Co., PA, on 9 September 1883.^1,2 As of 7 October 1903,her married name was Shetter.³ She married Latimer James Shetter on 7 October 1903 at York Co., PA.³ Mary died on 23 September 1966 at Conewago Twp., York Co., PA, at age 83.^1,4 Her body was interred on 26 September 1966 at Conewago Twp., York Co., PA, at Quickel's Lutheran Church Cemetery.^5,1

     Latimer was born at York Co., PA, on 28 August 1871.^1,2 He married Mary Magdalena Quickel, daughter of Lewis Schuler Quickel and Catharine Weire, on 7 October 1903 at York Co., PA.³ Latimer died on 25 May 1946 at Manchester Twp., York Co., PA, at age 74.^1,4 His body was interred on 28 May 1946 at Conewago Twp., York Co., PA, at Quickel's Lutheran Church Cemetery.⁵

     Milton was born at Manchester Township, York Co., PA, on 6 July 1886.^2,3 He married Mary Eliza E. Hoover on 2 January 1913.⁴ Milton died on 15 September 1970 at Princeton, Bureau Co., IL, at age 84.² He was buried in September 1970 at Oakland Cemetery, Princeton, Bureau Co., IL.⁵

     Mary Eliza E. Hoover was born in December 1881 at Bureau Co., IL.^2,3 As of circa 1905,her married name was Neighbor. She married Louis Jesse Neighbor circa 1905.⁴ She married Milton Charles Quickle, son of Lewis Schuler Quickel and Catharine Weire, on 2 January 1913.⁵ Mary Eliza E. Hoover was buried in 1969 at Oakland Cemetery, Princeton, Bureau Co., IL.³ She died in 1969.^2,3

     Curvin was born at Manchester Township, York Co., PA, on 5 August 1889.¹ He married Sarah Grimm on 7 August 1909 at York Co., PA.^2,3 He married Estella Emma Sturtz on 30 August 1961.³ Curvin died on 26 February 1969 at Manchester Twp., York Co., PA, at age 79.⁴ His body was interred on 1 March 1969 at Spring Garden Twp., York Co., PA, at Mount Rose Cemetery.⁵

     Estella was born at Markleton, Somerset Co., PA, on 10 October 1893.¹ She married Curvin Alvin Quickel, son of Lewis Schuler Quickel and Catharine Weire, on 30 August 1961.¹ Estella died on 15 June 1974 at Addison Twp., Somerset Co., PA, at age 80. She was buried in June 1974 at Somerset County Memorial Park, Summit Twp., Somerset Co., PA.

     Sarah was born at York Co., PA, on 6 September 1885.¹ She was baptized on 16 September 1886 at Jefferson, York Co., PA.² She married Curvin Alvin Quickel, son of Lewis Schuler Quickel and Catharine Weire, on 7 August 1909 at York Co., PA.^3,1 As of 7 August 1909,her married name was Quickel.^3,1 Sarah died on 13 July 1959 at Conewago Twp., York Co., PA, at age 73.¹ Her body was interred on 16 July 1959 at Spring Garden Twp., York Co., PA, at Mount Rose Cemetery.⁴

     Amanda was born at Manchester Township, York Co., PA, on 17 March 1896.^1,2 She married Stewart Nathaniel Shenberger on 25 May 1915.³ Amanda died in September 1977 at York Co., PA, at age 81.^4,2 She was buried in September 1977 at Prospect Hill Cemetery, York, York Co., PA.²

     Stewart was born at Springettsbury Twp., York Co., PA, on 10 November 1891.^1,2 He married Amanda Elizabeth Quickel, daughter of Lewis Schuler Quickel and Catharine Weire, on 25 May 1915.¹ Stewart died in May 1984 at York Co., PA, at age 92.² He was buried in May 1984 at Prospect Hill Cemetery, York, York Co., PA.²

     Her body was interred at York, York Co., PA, at Greenmount Cemetery.² Clara May Seidenstricker was a Saleslady. Clara was born at Dover Twp., York Co., PA, on 22 April 1894.³ She married Jacob Henry Eyster on 14 June 1919 at York, York Co., PA.⁴ Clara died on 14 February 1979 at age 84.⁵

     Jacob was born on 26 December 1889.¹ He married Clara May Seidenstricker, daughter of William Edward Seidenstricker and Rosa Lily Hoffman, on 14 June 1919 at York, York Co., PA.² Jacob died on 11 December 1955 at York, York Co., PA, at age 65.¹ His body was interred on 15 December 1955 at York, York Co., PA, at Greenmount Cemetery.³

     Dora was born at Dover Twp., York Co., PA, on 10 August 1895.^2,3 As of before 1917,her married name was King. She married Allen King before 1917. Dora died on 28 December 1939 at York Hospital, York, York Co., PA, at age 44.^2,4 Her body was interred on 31 December 1939 at York, York Co., PA, at Greenmount Cemetery.^5,2

     Allen was born in January 1894.¹ He married Dora Marie Seidenstricker, daughter of William Edward Seidenstricker and Rosa Lily Hoffman, before 1917. His body was interred in January 1968 at York, York Co., PA, at Greenmount Cemetery.² Allen died in January 1968.¹

     John H. Greiner was a Farmer. John was born at East Donegal Twp., Lancaster Co., PA, on 9 February 1819.^5,6,7,8,9 He married Catharine Hostetter Reist, daughter of Abraham Reist and Maria Hostetter, on 19 October 1852 at Manheim Township, Lancaster Co., PA.^5,10 John died on 23 November 1885 at Lancaster Co., PA, at age 66.^7,11,8 His body was interred in November 1885 at Florin, Lancaster Co., PA, at Camp Hill Cemetery.⁷
     John's marriage to Catharine Reist is one of the few documented by Lancaster County between 1852 and 1855. It provides the names of both parents and John's residence (Mount Joy) and birthplace (West [sic] Donegal Township). Some of this information is also found in John and Catharine's family Bible ⁵. (See a transcription and copies of the Bible in the appendices.)

      In 1853, just before their first child was born, John and Catharine were sold a tract of land by his brother, Henry H. Greiner. Over the next 26 years John added additional tracts to his land, eventually totalling 46 acres. This land was along the north side of Donegal Springs Road (now West Donegal Street) leaving the borough of Mount Joy. The land was not sold until 1893, seven years following his death. The deed of sale mentioned his wife and each of his four surviving children, their spouses, and their place of residence.

      The birth of John and Catharine's children is documented in their Bible, which is in the possession of Marion Greiner Hossler. Although John and Philip are found in later documents with the middle initial R. (most likely for Reist), their given middle names are different in the Bible. Catharine's death was recorded by her son David when he received the Bible.

      John was listed in the 1860 census as a carpenter, with their two eldest children. (Note that John's son Philip and brother Philip were also carpenters.) By 1870 his occupation was listed as farmer, and all four children were included. He was still a farmer in 1880. Three sons were still at home. Daughter Sarah Ellen had left home by that time. John's brother Philip was enumerated in an adjoining household.

      John died five years later. Catharine is found in the 1900 census, living by herself. Their son John had died earlier that year, which is reflected by the number of living children (3) enumerated for Catharine. She was living in Mount Joy Township within a few households of her son Philip.

     Catharine was born at Lancaster Co., PA, on 16 October 1829.^6,7,8,9,10 Catharine was confirmed at age 18 at the German Reformed congregation at Manheim, Lancaster Co., PA, on 30 October 1847.¹¹ She married John H. Greiner, son of Philip Greiner and Maria Margaretha Hollinger, on 19 October 1852 at Manheim Township, Lancaster Co., PA.^6,12 Catharine died on 9 July 1907 at Mount Joy, Lancaster Co., PA, at age 77.^7,13,9,10,14 Her body was interred on 12 July 1907 at Florin, Lancaster Co., PA, at Camp Hill Cemetery.^7,15,10

     His body was interred at Florin, Lancaster Co., PA, at Camp Hill Cemetery.¹ Infant was born at Lancaster Co., PA, on 10 October 1856.^2,3 Infant died on 16 October 1856 at Lancaster Co., PA.^2,3

     John was born at Lancaster Co., PA, on 21 April 1862.^3,4,5 John died on 10 May 1900 at age 38.^5,6,7 His body was interred in 1900 at Florin, Lancaster Co., PA, at Camp Hill Cemetery.⁸

     Sarah died. Sarah was born at Lancaster Co., PA, on 13 August 1853.^6,7 She married Abraham Urich Gantz circa 1878 at PA.⁷

     Philip Sheridan Greiner was a Carpenter. Philip was born at Lancaster Co., PA, on 29 May 1865.^6,7,8,9 He married Alice H. Wachstetter circa 1887.⁸ He was baptized at St. Marks United Brethren Church at Mount Joy, Lancaster Co., PA, on 3 October 1903.¹⁰ Philip died on 14 August 1935 at Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster, Lancaster Co., PA, at age 70.^6,9 His body was interred on 17 August 1935 at Florin, Lancaster Co., PA, at Camp Hill Cemetery.^6,11
     According to his granddaughter Nancy Gutzwiller, Philip died as a result of an injury to his abdomen sustained in his carpenter shop in Mount Joy.

     Her body was interred at Florin, Lancaster Co., PA, at Camp Hill Cemetery.⁴ Alice was born in May 1867.^5,6 She married Philip Sheridan Greiner, son of John H. Greiner and Catharine Hostetter Reist, circa 1887.⁵ She was baptized at St. Marks United Brethren Church at Mount Joy, Lancaster Co., PA, on 3 October 1903.⁷ Alice died in 1952.⁶

     He married Catharine Bear, daughter of First Husband Bair and Catharine Coyle.⁵ Henry was born at Lancaster Co., PA, on 5 October 1840.^6,7 He was inducted into Pennsylvania Battery I (Nevin's), Light Artillery Battery at Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., PA, on 30 June 1863.⁸ He was a Farmer in 1880 at East Donegal Twp., Lancaster Co., PA.⁵ Henry died on 13 December 1913 at East Donegal Twp., Lancaster Co., PA, at age 73.^6,9 His body was interred on 17 December 1913 at East Donegal Township, Lancaster Co., PA, at Kraybill's Mennonite Church cemetery.^6,10

     She married Henry Lutz, son of Jacob Lutz and Barbara Mumma.² Catharine was born at PA on 27 March 1839.³ Catharine died on 9 May 1900 at age 61.⁴ Her body was interred in May 1900 at East Donegal Township, Lancaster Co., PA, at Kraybill's Mennonite Church cemetery.⁵

     Infant was born on 21 October 1859.¹ Infant died on 22 October 1859.¹ His body was interred in October 1859 at East Donegal Township, Lancaster Co., PA, at Kraybill's Mennonite Church cemetery.²

     Abram was born at East Donegal Twp., Lancaster Co., PA, on 16 April 1862.^2,3 He married Annie Erb on 13 December 1888.⁴ Abram died on 7 August 1922 at East Donegal Twp., Lancaster Co., PA, at age 60.^2,5 His body was interred on 11 August 1922 at East Donegal Township, Lancaster Co., PA, at Kraybill's Mennonite Church cemetery.^6,2

     Her body was interred at East Donegal Township, Lancaster Co., PA.² Annie was born on 26 November 1864.³ She married Abram Bear Lutz, son of Henry Lutz and Catharine Bear, on 13 December 1888.⁴ Annie died on 9 May 1947 at age 82.⁵

     Henry was born at Lancaster Co., PA, on 6 December 1866.^2,3 He married Mary Keener circa 1900 at PA.³ Henry B. Lutz died on 5 November 1941 at Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., PA, at age 74.² He was buried on 8 November 1941 at Camp Hill Cemetery, Florin, Lancaster Co., PA.²

     Amos was born on 1 April 1873.¹ Amos died on 4 May 1873.¹ His body was interred in May 1873 at East Donegal Township, Lancaster Co., PA, at Kraybill's Mennonite Church cemetery.²

     She married Henry E. Klugh.² Annie was born at West Hempfield Twp., Lancaster Co., PA, on 4 May 1873.^3,2 Annie died on 9 January 1930 at Mount Joy Twp., Lancaster Co., PA, at age 56.³ She was buried on 11 January 1930 at Lutheran Cemetery, Maytown, Lancaster Co., PA.³
